The ski region of Gasteinertal in Salzburger Land inspires with its variety-packed pistes, numerous cable cars and ski lifts, as well as 4 ski mountains, which provide limitless skiing fun. On a total of 200 kilometres of pistes and up to 2700 metres altitude, winter athletes really get to let off steam, while enjoying the breath-taking mountain panorama. The 4 ski areas in Gasteinertal in Ski amadé provide very well-tended pistes, in varying difficulty levels: easy, moderately difficult and difficult family ski runs, carving routes, deep snow and mogul pistes are available for families and their children, as well as beginners & pros. The biggest interconnected ski area, Schlossalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogel, which links Bad Hofgastein & Bad Gastein, has pistes catering for all ability levels as well as a practice area for beginners. New piste areas from winter 2018 are set to provide even more skiing fun . The new Schlossalmbahn inspires too, with its additional transport capacity and a non-stop gondola journey from the valley station up to the mountain station.
Those who prefer things to be a little more challenging will find the Graukogel in Bad Gastein is just right.
Fitness and technical ability are the order of the day here. The difficult ski runs are more suitable for pro skiers and winter sports fans, who are looking for a new challenge.
In the Sportgastein ski area, freeriders and freestylers are very well catered for. Up at 2686 meters ideal piste conditions prevail.
